BEING OPEN

Our practice promotes a culture of honesty and openness.

We encourage patients and/or their carers, as well as our staff, to communicate with us about concerns they may have. We are continually trying to improve the service we provide and address areas where we may fall short or where mistakes have occurred.

We have a policy for dealing with significant events and near misses. These are discussed with all the staff so that we can learn from them and improve our systems of care.

We also have a complaints policy so that patients can raise concerns. A leaflet is available from reception. If you have any concerns about the treatment you have received or the way you have been treated by staff, please let us know. We value your feedback both good and bad on any aspect of the services we provide.

We aim to treat everyone equally. We have an Equality and Diversity policy which applies to both staff and patients. We will always maintain confidentiality unless a patient’s safety is at risk.

We conduct patient surveys at regular intervals to gauge opinion on how we are doing and to ascertain if there are things we may not be doing.

However, we appreciate feedback at any time.
